Friday Night With Friends & SSCS Arrival...

Oh, I always love FNWF! It's so great to just park myself on the sofa & do some hand stitching... knowing that in so many other parts of Australia & indeed around the world, that there are other ladies doing the same thing!
Last night I chose to work on the 11th of the 12 stitcheries for my Charmed I'm Sure runner. Progress on those has slowed with the need to get Christmas sewing finished, so I am looking forward to resuming my work on it.
While working on that, I watched the great Aussie movie The Dish - & promptly went to bed when it was finished.
Thank you Cheryll for hosting us once again for Friday Night With Friends - you can check out other participants work by clicking HERE

What an exciting parcel to come home to yesterday... my Secret Santa Christmas Swap parcel all the way from Norway! Thank you so much Frederika! This is Frederika's first SSCS, so aren't I the lucky one?!
I just love this little fellow - a darling little reindeer... now I have to be very Nice (can't think that I've ever been Naughty, LOL) & wait until Christmas to open the other gift Frederika has sent...

Wanna see what I did during the week?
The packing of almost 400 orders for new incoming students to our College in 2014!
One of my daughters came in & helped me on one day, a very valuable contribution when I was starting to get concerned I would not manage to get them all done. Next week I will spend 3 full school days in this room, giving out the packs...
And heaven help any person who goes in there & upsets the "only Anthea can follow it" arrangement system in place!

If there is any kind soul who would like to come do my Christmas shopping for me, that would be great... & you can even have my credit card!

If I lived closer, I would just love to help out with your Christmas shopping, I just love to shop, especially when it doesn't cost me anything!

It is nice to sit down and stitch on a Friday night. Your SSCS decoration is so cute, it will be hard to keep the present until Christmas Day. You have certainly been busy, most deserving of a weekend of stitching!

You were a busy lady this week. I am so looking forward to seeing your finished table runner - the bits and pieces that you show are quite lovely. Love that little reindeer within a heart.

Lovely post Anthea. I did not join in as there was to be no sewing going on here. Instead I was sorting a backlog of photographs on my computer with more than half an eye on Clint Eastwood in 'Hang em high'! Goodness, what on earth is in all those bags? I get excited for everyone who is receiving swap parcels in the post, can't wait to see what is in them. xx

The quilt you are working on is so very lovely. The colors just pop right out at you and I love color! Your stitching looks wonderful, but I would imagine that it is time consuming as well. Look at all those packs! Goodness, I hope no-one comes in and disturbs your work! The ornament is so cute! Lucky girl you are!
