One Flower Wednesday... Seeing Double

First things first, our local Dawn Service for ANZAC Day was very good, as always. We got a stunning sunrise to boot.... This is our Mandurah War Memorial, it's a beautiful area, well-planted & maintained. Right on the waters edge of the estuary. Lots of people stayed on just to take in this beautiful scene of nature.... and yes, these colours are very close to what we saw with our own eyes!

I know it looks like a bunch of columns, but THIS is really interesting  & explains our Memorial.

When we got back, I made myself a cup of coffee & stitched these for The Quilt of Forgotten Fabrics.

Isn't it interesting how the same fabric, cut the same way, but laid out differently, can look so different?

Have a Fabulous Day, Friends!

What a poignant and exquisite memorial. It brings to mind all who have sacrificed, including their families. Thanks.

As to your hexi's.... just stunningly beautiful. Well done! Your comment @ forgotten fabrics makes me think you surely have some jewels in that stash. Happy stitching! B
