Mug Rug Swap Goodies

Today I have received my parcel of lovely gifts from my partner in the Mug Rug Swap, which was organised by Quilting Mumma back in April. My partner for this swap was Martha in the US, whose blog is Living Life

I was very thrilled to open the packaging, and find a gorgeous bag, which Martha calls her Smile Bag - she wrote me that recipients of her Smile Bag do just that when they receive it. Well I am smiling! The bag contained a great hard plastic pink case (might use it to store threads in for my portable stitching), some scrummy M&M's with a cute torch keychain....

And this stunning Mug Rug...measuring a generous 12" x 8½"... the back is a similar colour to the pretty blue that features on the front...
(I'm sure there is an official name for the block Martha has used, but me not being a quilter, I have no idea!)

Martha was also kind enough to include the instructions to make the bag, should I wish to. The bag has 6 great pockets around the outside, it's a great size...
Thank you so much Martha for such a lovely parcel of goodies! It's been wonderful to make a new blogging friend & become the proud new owner of such lovely items...

Being that I sit & stitch on a Friday anyway, I thought I'd join in the fun of...

I think I'm going to get started on a scarf, using some chunky yarn I bought some time ago, but now lies buried in The Sewing Space. At least I have time during Friday to carry out the archaeological dig that might be required, in order to find it!

Thank You Heidi for hosting this regular stitch-fest - I'm looking forward to being a sticky-beak, checking out what other people have done for their FNSI...!!

It's been so very cold here today, and rainy with hail... proper winter weather!

I'd certainly be smiling if I had received that bag filled with goodies! Enjoy your FNSI. I'll be checking back to see what you did.
