One Flower Wednesday... That's 50 Posts Folks!

I have emerged from the chaotic last few days here.... oh, the winds... thankfully our house is fine, & the gardens have survived, barring one very large bougainvillea being completely torn from the ground...

It's been the sort of storm I call "The Big Mash-Up", where everything seems to get torn, shredded, un-roofed, eroded, blown over, tossed around  & generally made a mess of. We get one like that every year around late-May early June, & this one was a little later than most years, but made up for it in a mighty way. Whilst we did not lose power (we have underground), we did lose phone & internet for a couple of days. Thankfully exams for the DD's were unaffected & our main family event for the weekend went off very well...

Mr12 ate a bit too much celebratory dinner on Saturday night, resulting in a big carpet clean-up at 4.30 am Sunday morning... *blerk*... If there can be a sunny side to that, I got some great stitching done on My Little Teahouse during Sunday while Mr12 laid watching The Sound of Music...several times!

I stitched this last night, whilst praying like mad that my house would not get blown down...

Thanks to Karen for another week of pretty blooms, for One Flower Wednesday...

As my post title says, this is my 50th post! Wow, I have really loved doing it all. I'd been reading blogs for a long time, but just a bit too nervous to start my own. I felt so welcomed & encouraged straight away when I finally did start... thank you to those who Follow me, those who comment, those who visit.... Thank you to my generous swap partners, and the many lovely bloggers who encourage me... I've learned new techniques, started a couple of new craft interests & continue to be inspired.... and mostly (wink!), have stuck to my original idea of using this a way to encourage myself to finish the unfinished...so, if  you're happy to  put  up with me, I'll keep going!
