Starting It Finally... My Little Teahouse

I have been making some preparations in the last couple of days to make a start on
My Little Teahouse, a Red Brolly design...

I've had this sitting in my Sewing Space for a long time, & I've felt a bit bad about not making it yet, especially being that I even bought the button set especially designed for it.
I have made a start on the stitching this afternoon, so I will post a few progress pics of this project as I go...

I need a break from making hexagons for the Quilt of Forgotten Fabrics, but I do love doing them, so I'm simply making pretty flowers. They will all have a dark brown centre & I'm going to stick mostly to small scale prints, not use much fussy-cutting if I can avoid it.

I did indeed find the lovely lady I met at the Perth Craft & Quilt Show. I could not remember her blog name correctly, but happened to see it on another blog during the week.
Some of you may already know SHARI at her blog Mumsyblossom's World... She is a very talented quilt maker & crafter, her posts are interesting & fun, so pop on over to say HI...

Thank you Melody for your lovely welcome!

We have had a wonderful FOUR DAY BREAK here at HibiscusHQ (Friday was a student-free day, today is public holiday), great timing, before some busy & stressful weeks of exams for the DD's, & other school activities for Mr12.
I thank God for my stitching, it keeps me sane at times like this, very calming...

And YAY for my beloved Brisbane Lions hanging on to beat West Coast Eagles!
(That's a celebration rarely had!)

Have a Great Week!

The Teahouse stitchery is beautiful, can't wait to see yours in progress. I have to admit to being a WCE fan but love it when the underdogs have a few wins like this weekend. Love to watch Johno Brown (playing, sitting, even sitting still is fine ;) ) Tracee xx

After your email i went looking for my Little Tea House. Found the kit but not the pattern. Panicked a bit then realised the pattern must still be with all my other Bronwyn patterns. I don't have to buttons just the fabrics. Look forward to seeing your progress. Hugs,
