My Little Teahouse... Grand Opening

Grand Opening, or Bloggers Meet?!

Welcome to the Opening of My Little Teahouse... Architect designed by Red Brolly, and constructed lovingly & patiently by me...

As I've been sewing & stitching, I've been making up little stories about these women & what they do when they are not drinking tea & eating cupcakes at My Little Teahouse... what their names are... and more importantly, do they stitch?!

The inside of My Little Teahouse... a drawstring bag for holding the project... & plenty of handy pockets...

The drawstring bag fabric is covered in sundaes, cakes, ice cream, cheesecake... yum!

(Pic taken in my Sewing Cave Space)

The sides & base are kept firm by template plastic inserts...

I confess I had to consult a book on how to blanket stitch applique, I had forgotten how to!

Plenty of pockets for keeping things organised...
and keeping Little Teahouse operating smoothly...

The heart pockets are for little scissors, needlebook... whatever small things...

The gorgeous lady in the wide-brimmed hat & glasses is my blogging friend Pam, as she loves to wear hats... if anyone would like to suggest names for any of the other ladies, please do... or even a 'new' name for My Little Teahouse itself...
... how about something like "Tea on Retreat"?... lol

The needle book is part of My Little Teahouse. I did my own version of it, making the back & lining with the same fabric, and stitching a piece of white felt inside...

Some of My Little Teahouse has been a bit of a challenge for me, but I'm pleased that I continued, & didn't just put it away to become yet another unfinished project. I've taught myself a few things, and kept in mind my Nan's wisdom that sewing is not only about the finished item, but how you improve your skills along the way of making it.

Naturally, My Little Teahouse also serves coffee & hot chocolate, and they cater for all tastes in sweet foods & also cold beverages. Social stitching sessions are held three times a week... if only!

Have a Tea-riffic Wednesday!
