Almost Done...

... Some more progress on "In The Spring" ... my Gail Pan wall hanging & table runner...

This is a peek at the little table runner that is part of the design, just need to finish the binding

I'm not the first person to do this in order to keep my stitching lines nice & straight!

The wall hanging also just needs the binding finished too, stitched some of it while watching XFactor last night...
As this pattern does not have specific instructions for hanging sleeve/tabs, I'm thinking about how to go about this for when I stitch the top binding on the wall hanging... any advice?

I see I have some more new Followers - thank you for joining me & I look forward to hearing from you

Love the tape idea!! I usually just sew it to the top of the quilt - within the 1/4" seam allowance and then I do the binding the normal way. Love the colours you have chosen for the borders.

Such a lovely project. I agree, I always use tape to keep me straight.

I rule a line with a pen that disappears when you iron it...

I usually make a separate sleeve and add it to the back when the quilt is complete.Love the tape idea.

Is that just regular tape?
For hanging quilts.... I've been using the 3m product that peels right off the wall....I stick one side to the quilt and the other to the wall and I can take it off and change quilts anytime without holes in the wall...

Looking good, Anthea. I love that fabric. If it is a small wall hanging I often use the triangles at each side that get sewn in with the binding.

I love how you are using a guide to help you quilt. What is the guide?

Oh I use the green painters tape on many projects for straightening out lines. Inventive I say!! :)

You've been so busy! The colours on that wall hanging are totally delightful - love 'em. As far as the hanging bits go - no idea - have you tried you tube or googled for ideas? There's usually some very clever tutorials out there. Sorry can't give any more help.

Perfect fabrics to border your lovely stitchery. I'll be using tape like that on a project soon, although my machine came with an adjustable guide once the first line is in. Will have to wait and see once I start working with it.

Tabs could look cute with a little wall quilt like this.
