Just A Few...

...hexagons...
Actually 184 to be exact!
The fabric was already cut, and they were nice & easy to do...
I did these while tuning in at various times over the weekend to Telethon, West Australia's biggest effort to raise funds for sick kids in our State. Telethon also contributes enormously to research into childhood diseases and illnesses. Please take a moment to read a little more HERE.

Yes, I do not use a glue pen;) As I have no particular plans for these hexagons, and don't know how the glue effects the fabrics over a long period of time, I am happy enough to use some ugly thread & just hand-baste them.
Later today I will be buying the fabric which will become the background for my Quilt of Forgotten Fabrics. I'm sure I will look strange, taking my hexy flowers with me to make sure I am happy with what I am buying... I have decided on a method & layout, so now it's a matter of just taking time to do it!
You have heard of quilt-as-you-go, well this is its not-so-talented cousin think&plan-as-I-go, HA HA...

Year12 exams are over, so now I have one very relieved & winding-down daughter. Now if we can get through uni exams for my other daughter, we will be happy!

Oh, one more thing... I am sure that Kaaren, over at her blog The Painted Quilt, will not mind me putting this link HERE.. she has just completed The Wish Quilt from Red Brolly Designs. Do go over and have a look, it's simply amazing, she has done an awesome job!

~♥~Have a Terrific Tuesday~♥~

Exams! Sarah has 4 coming up over the next few days for psyc, law, Indo and maths. She is only in year 10 but her main worry is that being in Victoria the teachers are not going to write comments or put exam results in the end of year reports. Mmmmmmm she is not a happy camper lol and I don't blame her. Hope your girls do well in theirs too.
Now gorgeous hexies prep too and enjoy your fabric shopping.

Gorgeous fabrics Anthea - I keep seeing these hexagons and getting tempted but have to be stern with myself and say NO - I have too many projects on the go and I already have a hexagon quilt!
