QOFF Top Done...

This morning I have stitched the final hexagons to the top for my
Quilt of Forgotten Fabrics...
The flowers seem less ugly to me somehow... yes? or big no? or is it just my wishful thinking?!
I was thinking of doing a pieced backing of the leftover fabrics, but decided not to do that, because I think it will end up looking like quite the 'fabric spew'... as if it doesn't already!

Yesterday I took my Secret Santa Christmas Swap parcel to the Post Office, so now it's winging its way to spread festive cheer. Whilst I do love doing swaps, I am also glad to be swap-free for a while to do some of my own sewing... I'm really loving all the different Christmas items that I'm seeing on blogs at the moment - so many clever ideas & projects, & of course so much nicer than shop-bought♥

It has come together really well. I agree about the back, although some people are better at random than I am.

WOW I love it!! I don't think it looks ugly at all, love the effect of the flowers on the plain fabric with the hexies in between. Well done! From ugly fabrics to superb quilt.

Gosh - how can you think of that as fabric spew??? it all looks great - its the overall impression that counts - not the details that you saw as you made it remember.

I think it looks fantastic Anthea - you have got the colours balanced beautifully. Until I enlarged the picture I thought that you had also put a border round it - is that what you are planning to do? I think it would finish it off nicely. Have not got into swaps but then have had a busy year with quilts - it is something that I would like to do next year though. Thank you for posting.
