Colour Swap Of 4 Items, Hello Pat!

My parcel for the Colour Swap Of 4 Items has arrived to its new owner, yay, so now I can show you all what I made...
My partner for this swap was the lovely Pat, who does not have her own blog but whose work can be seen at the Club Quilt Narromine blog. Pat chose BLUE for her colours.
The four items needed to be:
Something Edible... yummy Lindt choccy & two drink sachets
Something Smelly... scented candles
Something For A Room In The House... a table runner
Something Personal... a mug bag, mug, tea bags & some blue DMCs
Thank you to Bronwyn Hayes at Red Brolly for the free pattern of Chic Butterfly Mug Bag
Pat I am so glad you like everything!

Now it's confession time...Sewing for Pat was an exercise in De-Sensitisation Therapy for me, because I am not such a fan of the colour blue. It's a complicated aversion - in a nutshell the only 'acceptable' blue for many years has been the sky, denim fabric & the ocean...
Being partnered to Pat, sewing for her & putting together this swap, has forced me to consider whether blue is so terrible after all... &... well... it seems my dislike of it may have softened just a weeny bit! I have even kept some of the bigger scraps of fabrics, to continue my therapy, LOL...
All that said, I really did enjoy sewing for Pat... I have wanted to make the mug bag & the runner for ages, so this was a perfect chance.
Thanks to Swap Mama Extraordinaire Cheryll for another fab swap!

ENJOY IT ALL, PAT!

What a lovely lot of 'colour' gifts Anthea! Pat must have been thrilled! I was interested in your comments about blue...I'm like that with brown. I've just done another swap where my swap buddy obviously likes browns (I did a bit of blog stalking) so I was out of my comfort zone while I made that item.

What a lovely parcel you put together for Pat. I'm like you and don't really use a lot of blue (strange as I have 3 boys!). The table runner is lovely, as is the mug bag. My partner also requested blue!
