Friday Night Sew-In for October... Short & Sweet

Wendy is doing a wonderful job with hosting us for Friday Night Sew-In... thanks so much my friend, I hope you enjoyed your own sewing too!

I decided to do my FNSI stuff during the afternoon... making up some gift tags from a pre-printed fabric panel... they were quite easy to make... I have a couple of others that will have their trim added over the weekend... won't they look cute attached to a Christmas pressie?!

I backed them all with the green spot fabric, so they can be written on easily. The two round ones are done with that great stuff vlisofix, the others are sewn.

As for the Sweet aspect of this post... well, that involved an emergency of calorific proportions...
Of course I followed the instructions...
(Don't worry, I put these in the tin only just the other day!) They didn't last long, as you can imagine...my teenagers have suction stronger than a Dyson...
What a great tin... I re-discovered it when I was re-organising my Sewing Space a couple of months ago!

It was so great to be sewing with you all for our FNSI♥ Thanks goes to Wendy who hosts for us. Pop over HERE to see the blogs of others who participated... just scroll right to the bottom of that post to see the list.
*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
Now to an actual emergency... the bushfires in NSW are just so terrible... so many homes destroyed, families displaced, a lifetime of possessions gone... Firefighters working to exhaustion... This is Mother Nature at its cruelest. Let us all look for ways to support those who need it, in any way we can.

Love your tags Anthea, really pretty. I have one of those tins too - but no Dyson teenagers to hoover up my tim tams! The fires are truly awful, and I so feel for those living through them x

So Anthea you are a tin hoarder (sorry collector) as well. Love a good purpose for a tin. Mum has a Hexie tin for her hexes he he.
Yes we must keep our eye open for any bloggers doing good deeds for the fire victims.
Mum put together some sewing kits for disaster relief once. Can you imagine not having any craft to do!
