Pretty Pouch Swap & A Wednesday Flower

A little while back, I signed up for The Pretty Pouch Swap.
Kim at Lily Patch Quilts hosted it for us, & I have received my gorgeous parcel all the way from the US... This was not a secret swap, so it was lovely to exchange a few emails with my partner Vickie, who blogs at Creative Notions.
Vickie has sent me a gorgeous parcel of Pretty... the pouch is great, see how wide it opens up... & also the co-ordinating extras... & more spoily goodies. I love the clear inside pockets!
This is the perfect size for taking in the car or on those holidays I never go on...
Thanks so much Vickie for your wonderful gifts & I hope my parcel arrives to you very soon! x

Tuesday night is Hexy Night for me... of course I just had to use the hexy-in-a-hexy fabric... it has a hint of 1970s don't you think?!

Karen is our lovely host for One Flower Wednesday... If you would like to join us, just follow the link. Karen has heaps of fab information on her blog about english paper piecing, if you are interested to give it a try...

I am really enjoying the sewing of my Christmas swap items... making quicker progress than I expected... perhaps because it's school holidays & I'm neglecting some house chores!
But sewing for swaps can be a trap... so often I find myself totally loving what I am making & want to make another for myself... thus adding to the already long Wanna-Do List. Surely I am not the only person who experiences this?!

Lovely swap items Anthea. I have my parcel from Kim sitting on my desk but am not opening it until she receives hers! Because of our late decision to go to Spain I was way behind and only just managed to get my parcel in the post by the deadline. That pouch is so pretty and I love the pockets too. Lovely to have matching items too.

I am with you Anthea with the items I make, so most of the time I made two of everything - one for me and one for someone else....love your swap gifts...

I think it goes with the "swap" territory... loving what you make then giving it away! Great looking "flower" and fantastic pouch!!! :)

Gorgeous gift from Vicki, that's a really nice pouch design. When I fall in love with a swap gift so much that I have to make one for myself, I feel like I am getting extra good value from my pattern.

Beautiful pouch and goodies, I like the wide bottom. Love your hexie in hexie, yes, it does remind me of "Laugh-In". I agree about the swap items you make, I find myself making one for my self (or daughter).
