Quackity Quack Quack!

Why the quacking? Because I am one lucky duck!

Yesterday was my annual celebration of being born... & boy was I so chuffed to receive so many messages, emails, cards & gifts... from family & friends, near & far. Really quite spoilt.
And of course thank you to everyone who dropped in to my little blog to send me good wishes... I really appreciate that!

I'd like to share some of the gorgeous gifts sent to me from friends I've made through blogging.

Maria & Sandra sent me a fab roll to store my quilt blocks or stitching in so it stays clean... such a clever idea & girls I will get so much use from it - thank you!

Leanne made me a fab topper/mat featuring a pieced cup & saucer, along with some other goodies. Silly me, I just couldn't work out what the shape on the topper was, but the image made a whole lot more sense when I turned it 90°!! (And no, a blood alcohol content was not in play!)

Kaylee has made me the sweetest little pinkeep & birthday card, plus sent a gorgeous fabric too.
The quilters button is heart-shaped.
Big hugs & smiles to each of you my thoughtful friends for sending your love & good wishes to me.
Quack! xoxo

The lovely ladies of the Fat Quarter Birthday Club have sent me a beautiful selection of fabrics & goodies, too... thank you so much girls! This year I've gone with a black & white theme of fabrics to receive & wow aren't they totally gorgeous??!
Along with the fabrics, the girls have sent a pretty array of extras... some will add to my stitching enjoyment, some will add to my hips! Threads, trims, buttons, yums & a funky aqua print tea towel...
Each of us in the FQ Club will receive a special gift from someone else, & mine was sent to me from the very clever Barb
All I can say is WOW wow WOW... Barb made me a fab block folder, nice & big, & so beautifully sewn & stitched... I'm rarely rendered speechless, but this is one of those times... I had intended to get around to making one for myself, but now I don't need to worry. Mine wouldn't have been half as fab as this one!!
And just to make sure I have lots of stitching & sewing energy Barb added some purple-wrapped goodness... mmm, the Raspberry & Lemonade variety is new to me, can't wait to try it!
Thanks again Barb, Chooky, Ondrea, Peg & Michelle.
Another quack! xo

This is one of those times that has me reflecting on the wonderful world of blogging, the things I've learned along the way & most importantly the friends I've made.
I am really so blessed.
I ran myself out of time to make something for my annual Cake & Candles Birthday Giveaway... BUT there will be a Merry Un-Birthday Giveaway instead... stay tuned!

Sorry I haven't looked at your blog until now. I hope you had an awesome birthday and it looks like you received some amazing gifts. I agree, Barb always comes up with beautiful stitched gifts. Love the black and white fat 1/4s. It was a pleasure to seek out something you liked and I am delighted to be part of the club.
