Late last month Michelle Ridgway had a Giveaway to celebrate her 400th blog post, and lucky me I am the winner of this gorgeous parcel of goodies...
... hand-painted bird magnet, pretty spiral notebook, stunning handmade card, floral fabric fq, and a copy of Michelle's book called Stitchery Keepsakes...
Thank You Michelle, and I wish you continued designing success and wonderful blogging.

Last night, I got thinking "What would I do as stress-buster if I did not have my sewing & stitching?"
Right now I have all three of my children experiencing pivotal times in their lives...and therefore a great deal going on in my Motherly Heart... you know... stuff... (Thank goodness mrHS is a good listener!)
Well I have no idea what I would do, I am just so thankful that I have it... to sit and do it... gives me time to think, to appreciate & reminisce, to problem-solve, to plan... so while dealing with some of the tougher times of parenting I am stitching something lovely... go figure!
So what's your stress-buster?

I am sure I would be a regular at the mental home without my sewing - congratulation on your win.
Yes I agree that stitching keeps me sane....
Enjoy all your goodies..
Stitching is so much cheaper than therapy, and better for you than a lot of other things. Hope things improve at your house. X
Lucky YoU... congrats! :)
Hello Anthea,
Yesterday with three adult children at home I went to the library for a break. I was planning to have a cuppa and read the paper and have some quiet time. Well things changed as soon as I walked into the library a young disabled girl was reading the paper, she had a very severe disability and just made noises. Made me realise my own aren't that bad after all and I was so grateful for what I had. I did pick up some wonderful magazines and books so was grateful for that.Enjoy your parcel of wonderfulness from Michelle.
Happy days.

Enjoy Anthea. Sitting quietly stitching is definitely a form of meditation and I think you have a lot of soul sisters doing exactly what you do Anthea....aren't we blessed.
Hugs xx

I'm hearing you Anthea... parenting is such hard work sometimes! Without stitching I would be a wreck... it is such a great distraction. Hope things settle down again soon xxx
