Can't Take The Hexy Out Of The Girl...

Well, I am ending my crafting year by starting on a new project, involving one of my passions of 2012.
HEXAGONS!!
I have everything I need for this...
Lots more to do, but it's a good start!
Tea Party Table Runner, from Hatched & Patched.
... and here's a confession: I bought everything for this project before I even knew a single thing about how to do hexagon paper piecing! What?!?!
Yes-sir-ee, I saw it online, bought it and then thought "well I'd better learn how to do this thing"
Thank goodness for online tutorials and One Flower Wednesday!
I have really loved my crafting year, I've learned so much and developed confidence with so many things. I could never have imagined any of it, it's been awesome.
I am so glad to have bloggy friends I can share my crafting journey with... friends who inspire me & make me laugh, friends who encourage me & guide me... friends I feel just 'holding my hand'. I am also grateful for my swap partners who have shared their skills with me in the goodies they have sent.
Blogging has come into my life at a really great time, & re-invigorated my crafting joy.
I cannot depart for 2012 without a final funny, something my Mum gave to me a while back... I believe many of us can relate to this...
I'm not messy - I'm spatially challenged!

Oh I can't relate to the comic at all, I can now get into my room AND see the floor (well, bits of it). What more can possibly be required? LOL I look forward to seeing your runner grow :)

WOW lots of hexies there Anthea. I wanted to make a start on some of these over my 2 weeks break BUT I did not touch one bit of craft, I also wanted to try my hand at some free motio quilting...... So much for that...
