Can You See My Halo?

Oh I feel a bit virtuous...

Yes, I have finished the job of the Clean Up, & I am very pleased with my work!
My Sewing Space is looking much more orderly & spacious (if that's what you could call half a small bedroom) & I am now ready to sew with a smile on my face!

Being that I have joined Wendy & friends this year for Sew It's Finished, part of the Clean Up process was to group together & list unfinished items, & also projects that are ready to start...
I now have a small container of 6 (yes really) unfinished projects, & another larger container holding 40 Kits-And-Ready-To-Start, aka KARTS. Being that I am a small projects girl, that's what most of my KARTS are... table runners, bags, aprons, various sorts of panels, embroideries....
The Sewing Space had got so bad, that I was avoiding going in there, very stressful. But now it's much better organised, & I am really looking forward to crossing KARTS and UFOs off the list... & really truly enjoying my sewing again...

So in celebration, last night I finished the stitcheries for Happy Christmas Cushion...
...and have been playing with this for the Initial Heart Swap...
Yes, I am the only person in Blogland not making thread-catchers, but I'm fine with that because I have two gorgeous ones already♥

Don't forget Prolific Peg is giving away TWO 2013 diaries, done out in the gorgeous covers she makes. It's so easy to go in the draw - just go HERE to enter.

I have to confess that I have made three....and I have used them all today in different parts of the house. I too have had a project clean up ready to finish some ufo's this year. Maybe we should reward ourselves with a new project! Hehe.

Well done on your clean up!! Lots of us in blogland seemed to have had the same idea to clean up at the end of 2012. Love your stitcheries, they're cute.

I'm not allowed to make thread catchers because I haven't finished my SKOW project from 2012.... Six ufo's that's marvellous. Oh dear, are we supposed to count KARTS too. I have kits & fabric brought for about 5 quilts & I haven't made a full quilt for about 2 years. I'm a small project girl too. Polish up that halo, you deserve it! Tracee xx

My thread catcher is an old yoghurt tub. Works well so I won't be changing it.

Love your stitcheries. Very sweet.

Hope you are enjoying your tidy sewing room! It feels good, doesn't it?

Tehe - I didn't know a thread catcher would be so handy till I made one! You've done a fantastic job cleaning up, and how exciting to have all those projects just waiting for you to grab and start when inspiration and opportunity meet!
