Some of you may remember me giving a sneak peak of this a few weeks ago... a needle book... well I got it to the stage of just needing to sew in the felt pages, & that's where it stalled... for 3 weeks! Yep, three weeks to get out the felt, cut it & sew it in. Nothing like a quick finish, huh?!
I actually am so pleased with this, I made it entirely from small pieces & scraps in my scraps box.
Isn't the inside fabric great - all sorts of names of different quilt blocks...
Only problem is, it's h-u-g-e! It's 5¼ x 6¼ inches when closed, so I hope to one day become friends with a Giant or Ogre who loves to sew, or someone who would just like a massive needle book...
I worked this stitchery last July, but only just today decided to make it up into a bookmark...
(what a great book too, by the way!)
I confess to an ulterior motive with this one... I need a finish for each month, so I can receive the BOM block design from Sew It's Finished... & I didn't want to miss a month!
I really enjoyed sitting this morning & visiting quite a few of the FNSI blog posts... wow there is some wonderful work being done... quilt blocks, stitcheries, Christmas items, cross stitching, fabric preparation, knitting & crochet... what a talented lot we are!! And I really do appreciate the visits & Comments I receive following FNSI, even though I was whinging about my stitchery prep...

My lovely bloggy friend Tracee has entered a Spring Photo Competition with a gorgeous pic of her much-loved & sadly missed kitty BRUN... it would be great if you could give her your support with a vote for Brunnie... pop over HERE for details.
I have some lovely sewing on The Plan for this week, & am hoping to finish one of the Easter stitcheries just in time for the weekend. Have a fantastic week x

lovely finishes Anthea, you have done well.xx
It's strange how little finishing jobs get left when there are exciting new projects to get on with!! Glad it is finished an I love the bookmark. xx
Love the needle book.Fabulous colours. Hugs,xx
I didn't hear any whinging - just a comment.
we all have to trace sometimes!. Love the needle book - its just for someone who likes to keep a lot of needles handy!
Anthea, your finishes are quite lovely. You've used delightful fabric for your needlebook and I quite like your idea for the bookmark! It's always nice to have a few WIPs on hand when time is short. :)
A lovely finish Anthea will pop over to Tracee's to vote now.
Love your bookmark! Sometimes we just need the small finishes. I'm off to vote for Brunnie.
Lovely finishes Anthea.
Love the little bookmark and needle case. Sometimes a big one is great for storing different sorts of needles after they are bought but before you really need to use them.
Your finishes are lovely. A needlecase of the larger variety may be more difficult to lose under piles of fabric. :0)
Great needlebook.... the bigger ones are fantastic for keeping a selection of needles in... and I love the fabrics you have used... The bookmark is so lovely... I do like that knot you have finished it off... a finish is a finish no matter what size or how much work was needed!
Hugz
Love the colours and fabrics in your needle book Anthea...really striking! Cute bookmark too...I should heed that message and stop wasting time on the computer! lol
Both projects are just so lovely Anthea..
Great projects Anthea. Sharyn:)
Lovely finishes Anthea, that is a pretty bookmark!
Hi Anthea, Oh I just love it when you find a use for those tiny scraps of material!! My toes wiggle and tingle like mad....I'm strange I know it. lol. Love your saying about time is precious, so true.
Cheers, Anita.
The Giant Needlebook is very cute anyway....a finish is a finish and your bookmark is lovely...
