So pleased to have finished all the cross stitches for my Christmas Angel... it's been a while in the stitching... now to bring it to life with the back-stitch outlining & whatnot... yes it's a terrible pic, sorry...
In recent weeks I have been watching Lark Rise To Candleford, from the beginning... my Angel stitching has been completed to the viewing of the final series... it's another that I watch repeatedly, great to watch while stitching... so glad that Gabriel Cochrane went back to Dorcas... & that Alfie proposed to Minnie, she says YES every time I watch it, LOL... What a great show!
I have read a really interesting post over at Val's blog... discussing the various 'values' of craft works, particularly quilts... I think many readers would find it so interesting, especially those who make quilts, but can apply to all of us regardless of what we make... if you have not already read it, here's a link to the post.
Plus, the quilt featured in the post is A-mazing!!

Lovely cross stitch Anthea, and I can't wait to see this project completed.
Lovely work Anthea. I don't have the patience for cross stitch anymore, but I will enjoy seeing this one with the finishing touches.
Lovely work Anthea.
Can't wait to see it come to life.

Your Christmas Angel is quite lovely and good on you for keeping your beautiful pincushion. :)

well done on all that progress. It will be finished before you know it!
It is a worry when I am so busy I missed one of your posts...... The little pin cushion is just cute as a button, I have a fetish for them myself..... The cross stitch is - wow. I can't wait to see it finished. So much time and work. Super well done.
Such a gorgeous little angel, will really come to life with the backstitching. You definitely needed another pincushion, so pleased you are keeping it.
Lovely stitching Anthea.
Such a gorgeous project, beautifully stitched
So lovely, I always admire anyone who does counted cross stitch.
Great work on the CS. Love larkrise too and isn't it amazing where some of the actors pop up in other things. I am sure it was Minnie in Paradise lol.
Hello Anthea,
Great job on the cross stitch. Good to hear the pin cushion is staying at home.
Happy days.
Bev.
