I have done some research into the whole filmhill/blogger thing, it's been really interesting reading my Comments on my last post.... including smarty-pants Susan who was the only one to suggest that while my blog is fun & informative (her words, thanks my friend♥) it's not worth that many hits! I totally agree with her...
Anyway, I digress... as with the Comments here, my searching shows that 'filmhill' has become a problem for the wider blogging community, including many of us crafty ladies.
I found some interesting information in a Google Groups forum for Blogger users. Here is a breakdown...
It's called 'referer spam'
No one is actually reading the blog from the site (filmhill in my case)
Yes the spam hits will skew your Blogger stats
DO NOT click on the links in your Stats, this is the only way to stop the spam.
More info & links HERE (No it's not a bogus site!)
So in the end, while I cannot stop 'filmhill' showing up, I can at least continue to be watchful of activity and take action if anything genuinely untoward happens.
Not much sewing going on in the last few days... the furbaby Site Manager was sick and needed some extra love... extra work at school... my back has been sore with muscle spasm that has finally settled... and today I spent an hour on my knees in the kids bathroom, rubbing acetone on the floor to remove the purple sparkle nail polish that got splatted far & wide by Miss.
The upside is that mr12 is now on school holidays for the next two weeks, & the girls are at the start of a week of 'uni study break' (yes they do study during these times!)... all my babies at home... yum!
