Craft Show Goodies...

I went to the Show with a list, so here are those purchases...

Two different sizes of square embroidery frame, an A3 cutting mat, new leather thimble, Running Postman Cottage Garden Thread... and a kit of gorgeous batik fabrics for a special project...
I also wanted some fabric to use with 4 sweet little buttons that Shez sent me in a swap parcel last year. (you can see the buttons on the red check towards the top left of the piece) I am not sure what to make yet, but I really do love the fabric... do you like it Shez?! Any suggestions?
Now to the other items that made it into my bag... some fq's for a few hexy flowers, some cross stitch designs & some other patterns
Purse frames, lace motifs, darling buttons (couldn't leave the Papillon ones there, the Site Manager would never forgive me!) and two scarf rings...
But wait, there's more... indeed there is... but it can't be blogged, sorry!!
We  may have been a small group on Saturday, but I am sure that given time, we will be able to establish a great group of Perth/WA bloggers to get together with. Thanks again ladies for such a great day!
*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
Now to those things that just jumped into my bag... cheeky little hitch-hikers...
I could hear them calling to me "Give me away, Give me away!"
So I have a very pretty floral fq, some darling scissors featuring a rabbit and a Cottage Garden Thread
If you want a chance to own this little trio, all you have to do is leave me a Comment on this post, sharing what is a favourite Craft Show purchase of yours... I will announce a winner on Friday. Easy!

Gorgeous purchases! I think my favourite show purchases would be patterns or fabrics that we don't get in town. Mind you its been a very long time since I went to a quilt show that had a trading section lol

you really did have a big spend!!
i love your stuff!! esp the balis and i always love cottage garden threads.
My favourite purchases:
I usually buy rotary cutter blades from the scissor man - he usually has a deal of 6 for $20 - and you cant buy them in the shops. I also love my light box that i got from the scissorman. Usually I try to focus on the quirky little things that aren't in our shops.

Maybe for your meetings you can see if any of your libraries have meeting rooms for free hire...or a community room in a shopping centre - thats what we are doing in Brisbane now - not a lot of atmosphere - until we walk in!!!LOL.

What a brilliant haul of goodies. My favourite purchase at the last show I attended was some bargain new rotary cutter blades. Gee it makes a difference if the blade is sharp.

Hello Anthea,

Gosh I do love that you shopped at the show. I can't see what the cross stitch designs are though. I remember going to a craft show about 15 years ago and I was down to my last few dollars and I was determined to spend all that money and I blew it on a bag of buttons.

Happy days.
Bev.

Hi Anthea. What a great collection you have! My favourite craft show purchase has been a shoulder tote bag which is reversible - bright pink and blue - and by a charity in Nepal raising money for schools. It has a handy pocket for a bottle of water incorporated into the strap and is light weight. It keep it at my Mums in UK especially for trips to the Knitting and Stitching show. When it gets too heavy I know I have bought enough as my luggage allowance home is not great!

Anthea, how great your array of goodies look!!I especially adore the beautiful pastel batiks! Sounds like you had a fabulous day/time at the show with your friends. Many thanks for a chance at your generous giveaway :0)

Some wonderful finds there Anthea, looks like you had a ball. Love the fabric from Shez, just gorgeous, I haven't seen that anywhere in my travels. What a fabulous give away you have. I went to the Craft fair at the Gold Coast about 5 years ago an purchased amongst other things some CD'S with photos and designs to print on pritable fabric to make quilts, cushions, anything really. I love them and they have so many uses.

(oops..forgot to include in my post)
My favorite buy at a craft show a couple of years ago would have to be a magnifying glass lamp(with natural daylight globe). It makes embroidery work, sewing/beading such a breeze!

Cheers, Anita.

Love the fabric you brought to go with Shez's buttons. It would make great kitchen accessories with the buttons on the tops of the hand towels like Shez makes. I love my kitty ones. xx
