... and I am glad it's almost over...
Mother's Day Morning Tea on Sunday... it's real cream, can you hear my arteries groaning?! |
The Bad: Having been a little unsettled by those events, & angered with the sticky-beak people driving around the area, I forgot an important thing... next week I start a work regime that will be 2 days a week for the next few months... the money will be very handy, but will mean less time for stitching, bah!...
So in turn I had to cancel appointments that I booked for some days when I am working, oops...
(well I do often say that if I had a brain that actually functioned, I'd be happy!)
And as I have done no blog reading this week, I have a lot of eye-candy to catch up on!
The Good, finally: I decided at the last minute to sign up for the Christmas In July swap over at Gone Stitchin'... I have already figured out what I am going to make, & wouldn't you know it look what jumped into my car this morning...
As it's extremely rare for me to give a sneak-peek, this is all you will see until the reveal in July. Now to just put batteries in my brain so I can be organised, & make proper time to sew & stitch for my partner!
No sewing or stitching got done here this week, well unless you count some easy paid sewing & doing school trouser hems for mr12...

Love your fabrics Anthea. I am working out what I am going to make also. Good to get an early start. Sorry to hear about the sad things happening in your area. Hope you enjoy your new work schedule. Hugs...
Its awful when things like that happen - especially when its near you. Sorry - mending does NOT count in a sewing tally. The Christmas colours look lovely all together - its good that they were able to coordinate themselves before hopping into your car.
Sounds like lots of dramas in your area. I hope you have a lovely weekend, and still manage time to sew with your new hours.
Hope I'm your my swap partner! I am in the planning stage too for one of those projects, just pondering a design to suit my partner. So many sad things happening, and it can effect so many even when they are not loved ones. I have a bad habit of saying 'if I had half a brain, my head would rattle!' Sometimes I wonder what the ringing in my ears is... Have a great weekend, hope I remember to ring otherwise you ring me. xx
gorgeous fabrics, can't wait to see what they become!
Hope this week gets better for you, so sad for the families involved.
Don't worry about the real cream remember you need calcium to stave off osteoporosis, so go the real cream I say...
I hope your next week is much better. I want to drive past your house so that maybe those fabrics jump in my car! LOL.
