Friday Night Stitching

Last night the family went to bed early on me, so I took my opportunity to do a bit of stitchery for my Polka Dot Girls quilt... yes it's been a while since I did any on it... would have finished this one if I had the right colour for the dragonfly...
Stitching... heater on... catching up on my beloved Bold & The Beautiful... BLISS!
A quick blog scan just now, shows me that while I was stitching on my own at home, others were enjoying some Friday night sewing too, despite there being no FNSI link for this month.
(just curious, does anyone know what has happened to FNSI?)

I rugged up like an Eskimo at mr13s soccer game this morning... the wind had come straight from the South Pole I'm sure... the Mum of a team-mate had rather a large crochet piece she was hooking away with, working up a nice big blanket for her son...using its already impressive size to give her some warmth... very clever! (Must confess to a little envy of her ability!)

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend, and gets to enjoy some stitching... sewing... knitting... baking... whatever gives some enjoyment.

Hi Anthea,
We did have to rug up last night...it was so ccccold!!! lol. What luck that you were left on your own to craft all night. Bet you had fun.
Cheers, Anita.

lovely progress on your latest block. Hope you get it finished soon.
that's the beauty of crochet it keeps you warm as you work on it, a bit like hand quilting

Crochet has made a real comeback. I haven't done any in 17 years....maybe I should dig out my hook. Your Friday night sounds like bliss.....lovely stitchery.

Polka Dots is coming along...lovely...its a lot of work isn't it? nevermind - once its traced its very relaxing. Well I think so anyway. My crew are off to football tomorrow night - so a nice quiet night for more sewing for me too..

Lovely stitching!
Sometimes quilting something laying on your knees helps to be warmer :)
