I was very determined to make a really great event of this Friday Night Sew In... & am quite pleased with what I achieved...
In between the usual domestic demands, I worked on a total of five projects... yep, FIVE!! This was kind of an all day effort, you see...
Sadly, as 4 of these can't be fully shown just yet, you will have to tolerate my obscure pics for now... well I had to take pics to show that I did indeed work on stuff...
I am loving these shades of pink...
The orphan strips from my previous post have come up well... made them up into two items, one for gifting & the other to keep...
Yes, there is even some blue!!
After dinner I sat... heater on... watching the Tour de France (while also keeping an eye on the disaster of the cricket!) & stitched a bit more of my Seaside Treasures cross stitch. I think I actually started working on this one before colour was invented... & of course because I am a bit rusty, I just happen to find myself in a really tricky part of the design... lots of half crosses & colour changes...
Start of evening... |
Note to self: don't take pics of cross stitch under fluoro light at night... they never look good.
Here's what it will eventually look like...
Perhaps by the time it's finished, I'll be living on the Moon...
It's fantastic to see so many ladies went to Wendy's for this Friday Night Sew In... make sure to pop over to her blog HERE & check out what others were working on!
Thanks for having us at your place Wendy, hope we didn't disturb the neighbours!!

Hello Anthea,
Cross stitch with those quarter stitches can be a bit painful. Thank you for providing the prize for the FNSI. I recognise the pink scissors, I was so tempted to buy a pair at Textile Traders the other day.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Bev.
