FNWF & Site Manager Emergency...

Isn't it great to sit & sew or stitch, knowing that in various other homes, there are other ladies doing the same thing? I love it! Thanks so much to Cheryll at Gone Stitchin' for hosting us each month♥

My FNWF didn't go anywhere near to plan... I'll get to that in a moment... but I did manage a tiny bit of stitching in the end.
During the week I decided it was time to start the second attempt of Redwork Noel... Some of you may recall the unfortunate issue I had with thread colour inconsistency the first time I was stitching it. Well the sulking is long over, & I'm sure I have purchased enough carefully-inspected thread to stitch it several times over!

It won't be ready for display this Christmas, but I'm not fussed about that... cross stitch is kinda like the slow-cooker of stitching... it will be ready super-early for 2014!

So back to the Site Manager emergency... what a caper... I took him to the Vet for his regular vaccinations yesterday... boy was he hyped to a mix of excitement & anxiety... Back at home, he rapidly became very agitated; shaking his head around & panting terribly... plus his face had swollen something terrible & his skin had gone red - all this in barely 20 minutes!! Took him back to the Vet , she diagnosed an allergic reaction to the vacc's, & she promptly gave him injection of antihistamine & a steroid. We stayed there for a bit so he could be observed, & we finally rolled into the garage at just after 6pm!
Hard to get a pic that showed how bad it was
After all that stress & having to keep an eye on him through the evening, those little crosses were all I had the mind for! Happily, he is pretty much back to normal this morning.
I am looking forward to a bit of blog-hopping later, visit those who were perhaps more productive than me!!
HERE is the link to other FNWF participants.

♥Happy Weekend Everyone♥

How scary, Anthea! So please the little fellow came good. Must be the 'season' for it as my Eduardo hasn't been too well but it must be something muscular as the anti-inflammatory liquid is working.

Naw!!! I hope the site manager is better soon!!! Allergic reactions can't be good at the best of times - and for a little one like him, it must've been scary!! ... Well done on re-*starting* your cross-stitch!! I haven't ben able to do anything of late - and that's been mainly coz I just haven't felt like it at all :/

So glad your dog is doing so much better, we worry so much about our pets - they are part of our families.
I'm sure you'll work your stitching now that he's feeling better.

Poor little guy...glad he is doing better. Horrible for you too. Your cross stitch is going to be gorgeous. Hey I am sticking to the premise that a couple of stitches counts as a FNWF.
