Postage Stamp Quilt - All Blocks Sewn!

So pleased to have all the blocks sewn...
There are well more than the 48 blocks I need for this quilt (I just kept sewing until all the fabric was gone!) so I will have to dream up something else to make with the remaining blocks... they will not be allowed to loiter aimlessly in my Sewing Space!
Just for a play, I laid them out on our bed today... it was the only flat space big enough... golly it's going to be big... the tutorial I am using says it ends up 60 x 80 inches...
Even though there is a LOT of sewing in this, I actually didn't mind the work... it was satisfying to see the piles of blocks just slowly growing... & the fabric itself has grown on me too... perhaps it has indeed been cut small enough!

For my FNSI, I am going to start sewing the rows together.... sign ups are here for fnsi if you would like to join in...

On the weekend, I spent time preparing a new project... something I have had on my WannaDo List for  a while... I'm excited to have finally made a start on it & I'll be sharing soon...

(To explain the WannaDo List, it's just me having a mental picture in which I know I want to make something, but don't have it on a timeline, but I know I will make it eventually... if that makes sense...)

Today I agreed to make a baby quilt on behalf of my family... A cousin of mine & his partner have recently become parents after a pregnancy they were not expecting... Mum bought a great little panel & a couple of co-ords from Spotlight & asked me to put it together... it's so cute, how could I not... (it's great to sew when someone else does the buying!)

Welcome to my new Followers, I hope you enjoy your visits here & let me know if you like what you see. Only a few more days until my work days start on Monday... I love the school holidays... gotta make the most of the time...

Very pretty psq! I'm working on gathering "stamps" for one myself, and I'm not sure if I want to do it with alternating white like yours, or just a variety of squares without an alternating colour. Any thoughts?

Looks fabulous Anthea...as Bonnie Hunter says "If it's still ugly, you just didn't cut it small enough!!"...and postage stamp quilts are a great way to utilise those fabrics which don't quite make it in larger pieces...sorry that your job is finishing, but bet there is something fabulous on your 2014 horizon...hope it is cooler over there for you now...

Just popped back over to see the stamp blocks....I forgot you had a lot of white in them.
For the Dancing Nine Patch setting you would have to use a colour to separate and define the blocks ..
