Birthday Goodies To Share...

What a really wonderful few days I have had... thank you to all my wonderful Blogging friends who have sent me good wishes, I really appreciate it... & selfishly, I will say that as my Birthday is the one day in a year I call my own, I will take all the fuss & extra love that comes my way!

I am part of the Fat Quarter Birthday Club, & I have to say I have been so touched with the beautiful fabrics & extra gifts I have received from the ladies...

Each of us has been assigned one other lady to send a Special Gift to, & I am so blown away with my Special Gift made by Illene (RetDairyQueen)...

A beautiful sewing box, satin-lined & felt-covered... don't you love the sentiment... yes indeed I would "Love To Sew All Day"!!

Illene has also made a perfectly folded octagonal box filled with choccy's, & a very pretty beaded & stitched Angel, who I have named 'Illene' (of course!)
Along with the breast cancer pen, notebook & sweet-smelling heart, Illene has totally blown me away with such a magnificent parcel of goodies... Thanks Illene - I love it all!!

The girls of the FQ Club have sent me a delicious selection of fq's, in greens & purples... aren't they gorgeous?! Girls, you have spoiled me, THANKS AGAIN xx

The FQ girls also sent me a very pretty array of extra goodies...

I have made some lovely friends in Blogland... & it was extra special to receive gifts from two very amazing ladies...

Katherine at Rose Cottage was one of my first swap partners & we have continued our friendship since then... aren't these just too pretty for words?? I feel a Gail Pan project would be good for these...

Clearly Tracee (Quilt Kitty Loves Life) knows two of my loves... & she's combined them to make one love-love-love table runner...

Thank you Katherine & Tracee... for your gifts & more importantly for your friendship xx

As you know, last year Sunny (Quilting Dreams) & I figured out that we are birthday 'twins' so we did a swap...
Sunny has sent me a sewing machine cover in fabrics I adore, the cutest little pin cushion to sit right at the front of MissPfaff, & some other goodies too...
Here's what I sent to Sunny...
How could I not have had a wonderful Birthday with all this spoiling going on??!
*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
The nursing duties are done with for now... both patients are 'discharged'... which is good timing because I have the next two weeks booked solid with work days...
We have been getting some stunning weather this week, & even had about 5½ drops of wet stuff yesterday... My beautiful city had not had a single drop for 96 days, our longest on record.

It's hard not to be aware of the goings on in a Queensland court today... what an unthinkable horror was visited upon an innocent boy & his family... the work of the various Police forces is truly amazing... all just makes me want to hold my own children just that little bit closer...

There is still time to get your name in for my Cake & Candles Giveaway...
I'll be announcing the winner tomorrow (Sat Aus time)

So many gorgeous gifts. A little while ago I was shown how to make one of those folded boxes. How clever are they! Enjoy all your presents, Anthea.
