After much cutting, sewing, pressing, cutting again, sewing again, & even more pressing, I have finished my quilt top, woo hoo! (truth be known, I finished it Thursday last week)
Around that time, I'd also been imagining some kind of one-block quilt, put together to somehow look interesting. I searched around, & found some great inspiration in the IMAGES tab of Google, & the main idea for layout was found here. Yes, it's 36 identical makes of the Scrappy Trip block, made famous in recent times by Quiltville.
My original plan was to make it 4 x 4 blocks, which I did, but border fabric just didn't work... so I set to, & made a bunch more blocks to make it up to 6 x 6, in order to keep the established pattern. I love the secondary colour patterns too!
It measures about 73 inches square. The backing is going to be a pink in the same tones as in the top, not sure about binding colour yet.
Happy Me, I Love It!

Now I need to call my quilter so she can work her magic...
