Hexy Flower Garden

This time for Piece Yourself Together!, I thought I'd share some pics of the EPP hexy flowers I've got in my collection so far.

I call them my 'brown-eyed flowers' & there's now 48 in the pile. When I resumed making them late last year, I made a decision to stick with colours of orange, pink, green, yellow & purple... using each fabric only once. Because I decided on those colours after making some of these, some won't be used in the quilt, but of course there's always other uses for a pretty hexy flower.
I want to have 100 useable flowers before I start to think about layout.

 Oh no! I just realised I do indeed have two the same, stitched at different times!

 I stitched these 3 this fortnight, not seeing I already had one with the green fabric. Oops!

I'm mulling over the idea of adding another colour to those five, but I'm not sure which colour that should be, or even if I should do it at all. Any thoughts? I think I'm happy to stay with those five, to be honest.

The good thing with a slow project like this is that time is my friend & there's no hurry to decide.

Seems I need to keep my eyes peeled for some more purples!
