Fun With Buttons...

I. Love. Buttons.

I've long been wanting to use some fab little buttons that my blogging friend Shez sent me in a swap in 2012, but because they're so darn cute, I've been choosy.

I didn't have any fabric in the Overload to use with them, so oh how terrible, I decided to go buy some fabric just so I could use the buttons!

I actually made these zipper pouches a few months ago, but as I've been twiddling my thumbs since then (not!), the pouches remained 95% complete, until yesterday... yes I finally stitched the sweet little buttons in place & sewed the lining closed.
Shez I am enjoying these darling buttons all over again now, my friend!

I added a pocket to the inside of the larger one... pockets are always handy...

Mrs Hen-rietta & Grandma Violet seem to be pleased with my choice of fabrics!
You all know I love these pouches, they're so handy... the larger one is currently holding my Frangipani cross stitch in progress... maybe the Chook Family will move into the other one??!

I'm getting used to not having such ready access to Miss Pfaff, not that I've had a lot of time for it in recent months anyway... it's not as boring as I thought it would be, now spending more time on hand stitching & projects... Perhaps the Gods knew I would need a bit of SLOW in my life at this time... & I'm fine with that.

♥ I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead & that the Sun shines (even just a little) wherever you are ♥

I love those pouches! My sewing machine and u have a love/hate relationship and I doubt we would work together long enough to make something as beautiful as these. Great that you finally found the right project for Shez's buttons too. I think we are all guilty sometimes of saving things "for best"!
