It's a Plethora Of Pincushions!
Thanks to lovely Ida, we are all welcome to share our favourite pincushions over on her linky...
If you'd like to be part of the fun, just pop over HERE for all the details & to link up.
There's even some fab prizes on offer!
I have a lot of pincushions & I use a lot of pincushions... but I'm sharing the two I use the most & have the greatest love for. I know the makers of these two would shrug & say they are nothing so fabulous, but because they were both beautifully handmade & gifted to me, they're Fabulous indeed!
This pincushion was gifted to me from my blogging buddy Sunny at Quilting Dreams... we have the same birthday, so we decided to do a birthday swap last year... I love the way it snugs under the front of my Pfaff... & the fabrics are Fig Tree & Co, one of my favourite designers.

Perfect place to put pins as I remove them when sewing!
This one was also a gift, in a 2012 swap parcel from lovely Katherine at Rose Cottage Handmade. I'm not sure what the filling is, but it's a lovely weight & is such a handy size. You can see that Katherine also made a mug rug & a needle book, all of which are very much part of my sewing space these days.
Thanks Ida for the great idea of sharing our beloved pincushions, I look forward to seeing what others share on the linky!
Why don't you pop over for a look at the Parade?!

How nice to have such special pincushions!
Lovely choices! Not only do we have the same birthday, but we have the same sewing machine.
They both are so pretty Anthea! And definitely useful too! I hadn't thought before about making one to fit in front of the sewing machine.
The Skinny Pinnies are great for the front of the sewing machine - I have made a few of these and given away. Your 'sewing room set' is lovely but better still is your friendship with your blogging friend.
I love both of those pincushions......Sunny always does such good work....and wow for the pretty set from Katherine! Thanks, again, for joining the parade and for putting out the word for me!
Those are both so nice. I really like the elongated shaped one.
hi Anthea.love your special pin cushions
That skinny one is nifty - sits just where you need it.
Nice pincushions. They are definitely well-loved. Thanks for tellling us about them.
Two beautiful pin cushions...nice to have special meaning ones!
Like the idea of your long pincushion under the machine.. Nice one you received in your swap too.
I too love the idea of the long cushion wedged under your machine. Looking at mine it would not work as it would have to be a very fat cushion indeed to wedge! Such pretty colours in your pincushion/needlebook/mug rug combo. xx
The pincushion that fits in front of your machine is perfect!! What a great idea. I need to make some pincushions!
What a lovely idea - great pincushions and how nice that they were both gifts. Special reminders of special friendships.
Both lovely pincushions. I like the size of the one by your sewing machine - very handy!
Lovely pincushions, the long one looks perfect for in front of your machine. I hope you family are all doing well now. xx
I really enjoyed that swap with you. I do believe it was the first swap I ever did lol
