What a great Friday!
Cheryll has hosted the final FNWF for 2015 & I know there will be lots of lovely stitching, sewing & general cleverness as a result of the evening... thank you Cheryll for our monthly stitching parties!
All the other ladies are listed here
I hope I'm not becoming (if I wasn't already!) a boring blogger... once again, I've got cross stitching to share... I took it with me to my Patchwork group on Friday & continued in the evening at home.

End of Friday:
This is the first time I've worked a design in which every single square in the design area is stitched, a 'first' for me in over 20 years of cross stitching!

I have some other finishes & makes to share too... my Little Santa is finished, however I'm not decided on what to do with him just yet. Don't you love the curls in his beard?! Beat that, Hipsters!
We had a Secret Santa small gift exchange as part of our recent Patchwork group Christmas lunch... I made a reusable shopping bag in some fab wide decorator fabric... & yes I deliberately chose blue, hoping no one would suspect it was me who made the bag! For such a simple item, I saw it was well-received, so that was a relief... I included a Christmas ornament from my giftie box with it, which was also welcomed.
I bought 1m of 150cm wide fabric & managed to make 3 generously sized bags - there was very little left over - the blue lining was a great bargain too - so these two are now in my Giftie Box. Wide woven cotton tape was used to create the handles... quick & easy!
The weather is playing silly billy's with us here this weekend... unseasonally cool temps & storms are forecast... I want some rain but not too much... our neighbour is working to put up his much-wanted dividing fence this weekend & I don't want a delay!
mr15 is very much counting the days until school finishes for the year... there is lots of socialising, playing of basketball, cinema visits & days out to be had, so he tells me...

Hello Anthea,
Father Christmas does look so handsome, a great finish. You can't have too many bags, the new owner will love it. We had some lovely rain, will be thinking of this cool weekend in a few weeks when it is way too hot. Had to get out a jacket to put on. Can't remember doing that for a while let alone in December. Hope your son has a wonderful time during the school holiday's.
Happy days.
Bev.
Never boring....adore that cute Santa! Your new project looks like quite a bit of work. Great job on your pretty totes too x
Love your Santa finish Anthea. The Secret Santa gift you made was lovely, but what about what you got, or is that for another post?
You certainly progressed well with the cross stitch.
Always enjoy seeing your beautiful cross stitches....
Yes horrible weather in the city. I am at Sandra's and we are going to Lion King tomorrow.
Your stitching is always lovely to see Anthea so no, you are not boring! Bags are always useful and I am glad yours was appreciated. xx
Isn't that interesting - most of the cross stitch I have done over the years completely covers the foundation fabric. Cute little curls on the Santa beard :)
Your cross stitch is wonderful
I love Santa and his hipster beard! Your bag is simply perfect and I'm sure it will be well loved and used.
Your cross stitch is beautiful Anthea, love your santa.
Hello Anthea.... now why would you think your blogging is boring...I haven't been to your blog for a couple of weeks and I love the little Santa and the shopping bags...oh, I drooled over those! Now, my blog is getting boring....same old, same old...just different photo's (if I can) and it shows since I am not getting many comments at all.
You Santa is gorgeous, Anthea. Austin and Nelson finished school last Wednesday. Now to get them to have a good clean up of their room!
