'Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2018' Update

This Challenge is such fun!
Having fallen behind with the sewing, I've put in a big effort this week & am fully up to date now.

I'd started off the year with making two blocks of the Granny squares for each colour... then decided 3 would be better... plus, it's not as if I don't have enough scraps for them!
These blocks were made in the re-visit of the previous colours of light blues for January & purple/lavenders for February:

The brief for March is "the bright & light side of green... limes & yellow greens".
I've had to vary slightly from the limes & brights, but still I've got plenty of lighter shades of greens to use... & while my yellowy-greens are not bright, they are at least light.

How cute are these little doggo's?! They were in what remained of a fat quarter, which got cut up for the sewing. Didn't even fussy cut them!
Little piles ready to sew... of course they don't all get used; they go into a storage tub for future projects.
The triangles are for the project I'm experimenting with, but not yet ready to share here.
I love these blocks & they are so easy to sew together.
Also, the Granny block is perfect for people like me, who need to create some kind of order in the chaos.
Now to wonder what April's color brief will be?

If you've not been part of RSC before, I'm sure you can jump in any time, as the Challenge is a year-round & ongoing effort... for more information just pop over HERE to Angela's blog for all the information you need.

Now I see how you use your little squares that you cut up at the end of last year. This will be such a gorgeous quilt. I also started cutting up some of my scraps but then life got in the way. But those scraps won't run away, I'll keep them for future ideas. Looking forward to seeing your rainbow quilt grow.
