Ok, so what really went on is that yesterday I went to the Perth Craft & Quilt Show. That is the first show of it's kind I've ever been able to get to, & I really enjoyed it. I did go with hopes of finding some fabrics for my Market Day Wallet from The Birdhouse, & indeed I got a fistful of beauties....
I also got the Angel Project Tote pattern I had been eying off for a while, & a sweet Christmas themed design too....
Oh, & I believe there were
I was really taken with all the different crafts & hobbies - you all know what I mean - and the Quilt Display, well that really blew me over. On the way home, I found myself thinking how wonderful it is that of all the thousands of people who go to those shows, everyone has their particular interests & ability level, and it's so great that we enjoy what we create & create what we love....
At one of the first stands, I saw a number of Moonshine Designs bags on a stand for Margaret's Fabrics, & was lucky enough to meet Monica Poole herself.... she was chuffed to know that I had made a couple of her bags. I also got chatting with another blogger, whose blog name escapes me for now, but I'm sure we'll find each other in blog-land somehow.
These are some of the pics I took at the display... very inspiring & just oh so lovely to look at....
All hand-pieced 1" hexys |
Some of the quilts were very artistic, like this fairy-garden-type one, can you see the fairy in the doors below?
This one was my favourite art-type quilt, like a portrait |
And this one had a lot of important-looking ribbons hanging off it.... |
Have a Fantastic Week...!
ps: I posted my Once A Season parcel on Friday.... where did it go, I wonder?!
