Friday Night With Friends... January

I had not given a single thought to what I would do for this FNWF, until about 5 minutes before I parked myself on My Spot on the sofa.
I wanted a little break from doing hexy's, but I also wanted to sit with the family as they watched telly.
Hhmmm, what to do?!
Make a little Angel progress!
I realised a few months back that I miss cross stitching, & so I plan to do a bit more of it this year.
(Yes I am still toiling with the Seaside Scene cross stitch; but like a naughty toddler, it's testing my patience!)

I'm sending my Best Wishes (but not my warmest!) to all my blogland friends in the parts of Australia who are getting some terrible heat right now. I know records broke in Tassie on Friday, and several other States are suffering badly too. While we expect to get hot weather, in summer, in Australia... this is a bit ridiculous. Let's hope it doesn't last long.
Do you see a squashed-looking face as you look at the glass? Or is it just my strange mind?!

Lovely to have a quiet night stitching in front of the tv. The weather is awful, hope it cools down for everyone soon.

Hi Anthea, I'm not quite melted yet but boys its been hot. Tassie isn't supposed to be this hot. Today is much better but it is only 8am.
Your cross stitch is so cute.

Poor melted man in the glass! I sometimes think I should pick up some cross stitching . . but it usually passes in favour of stitcheries. Always nice to have something fairly easy to do while vegging in front of the TV.

Can I say lovely cross-stitching when I know nothing about what makes a good or poor cross-stitch? Oh well it looks pretty to my eyes and lots of progress too :) Thank you for the cool wishes Anthea, much appreciated. I like your weird face, bit scary but I noticed it before I read you last comment, lol

Hi Anthea,
You're so right about this weather. After weeks of 40C+ we have actually had rain today. However, it is starting to get hot and sticky again. Just adore your stitching, it is a lovely design.
Cheers, Anita.
