Two More Wristlets...

...phew, just in time!
I had been working on these wristlets on Wednesday, and finally got them completed last night... so they can go in my February count for OPAM. (plus, I had already emailed Peg yesterday to say they were finished so I had to finish them!)
I totally love these fabrics, and I'm glad to have some left over for future use.
I have a passionate aversion to dark linings, so went with the orange-y/pumpkin-y look...
... and the rosette finishes it off in a very pretty way...
I had always planned for the larger wristlet to be mine, and the smaller one is going in my Christmas Through The Year box...

I am getting a bit of a head start on Friday Night With Friends, & enjoying some sewing during the day too... well, that would be after I have tidied up from the last few days of mess-making...
it's not too late to sign up for FNFW, just click HERE.

I can't adequately put into words, without writing a very l-o-n-g post, my gratitude for so many Comments on my last post. Overwhelmed.
Some of you already know that for a long time, I felt very alone in my interest of sewing & stitching, and around 18 months ago I was on the verge of stopping it completely. So thank goodness for late-night blog-reading and the re-energising it injected to my interest!! I am now more in love than ever with what I make & the process of it all. Love it, love it, love it!
You're stuck with me now!

These are gorgeous too Anthea, the colours are awesome, love the pumpkin colour you went with for the lining. The rosettes finish them off nicely. I'm glad you found BLOG land otherwise I wouldn't have such a great "bloggie" friend :-)

It has been so lovely to meet you Anthea, I am glad I found your blog. I know what it means to be so isolated - it took me years to find a small circle of like minded friends here. Looking forward to your next year of blogs.
Love
Lin

It's lucky you didn't stop quilting... you make beautiful things. Did you make the hexie quilt in your header? I love it!
