Finished, Late & Just In Time For CTTY...

Finished... the oven mitt that is part of my '1 Xmas Item A Month' for June... never sewn with Insul-Bright before... I do love the floral design of this fabric... now that is one more thing out of the Overload:)
Late... my flower for this weeks Garden Party over at Karen's Journey Of A Quilter... bought this fq at the Craft Fair a few weeks ago...
And Just In Time... this month's item for Christmas Through The Year... I made shopping bags, one is for a family member... very simply made, but I know she will love to use it... don't you love the retro print?!
The fabrics are cotton drill & I used a sturdy cotton tape for one side of the handle, to give them a good feel in the hand.
nice bright lining...
These bags took me a couple of hours to sew up, & I am happy to add them to the Christmas present stash...
It's not too late to link up your item for Christmas Through The Year... you can do it HERE

I am feeling very pleased with myself that all of my items for the "Christmas In July" swap are now fully complete & ready to wrap. For now, I am enjoying just looking at them & hoping that my recipient will like them when they get to her in a few weeks.

Still waiting for my niece or nephew to be born...

I love the fabric you used for the bags Anthea. They look great. I've just now finished the last of my Christmas in July gifts. Just got to find the camera and then they can be wrapped up. It does feel good to be ahead of schedule!
