Quiet Times at HibiscusHQ

Been a slow week here... well, on the stitchy front anyway...

On the weekend I decided it was time to at least finally finish stitching all the flowers I need for my long-neglected Hatched & Patched Tea Party Table Runner... stitched a couple while driving up to Perth & back...

This project ranks as one of my Top 5 WIVSPs of all time... Works In VERY Slow Progress...
I love it, so why is it taking me so darn long?!

I'm linking these with One Flower Wednesday; thanks Karen for hosting us in our hexy flower making. If you are making hexagon flowers for any purpose at all, you are very welcome to link them on any Wednesday, over at Karen's blog Journey of a Quilter... or perhaps you are thinking of teaching yourself (they are so easy & somewhat addictive!) Karen has wonderful information & tips to get you going...

I have finished the stitcheries for my HAPPY table runner.... it should come together quickly from here on, well that's the plan anyway...
*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*~~~~~~~~~~*
For my '1 Xmas Item A Month' I've made these great little books... heavens knows how long they've been in my Overload...
Thank You to Narelle at Pins & Whiskers for helping to keep her Elves on track!

I really want everyone to see a gob-smacker of a quilt... if you haven't seen already, do your eyes a favour & click on over to Helen's Patchwork Passion... my lovely bloggy friend has this week featured her recently finished masterpiece, Mrs Billings Coverlet HERE.... And while you are there check these too.
I am sure you will agree that Helen is one talented & skilful lady!

There's a lot of Christmas gift-making going on at the moment...
so why not link them up here to Christmas Through The Year, the linky will be available on Monday 25th to the 29th. As usual there will be a little prize for one lucky person who shows us the giftie item she's made.
I hope you will join in!

Very pretty hexies. Maybe you're going slow because you don't want it to end?

Your tea party table runner is looking fabulous! Have you ever wondered what you'd do if you ran out of WIPs - that could be scarey. :D

Why it takes so darn long, I ask myself that all the time! The tea party table runner is looking lovely, as is the stitchery.
