Yes! I Did It! I got my Postage Stamp Quilt top finished on Sunday afternoon... comfortably ahead of my self-imposed deadline of Tuesday... so my work days started with a big smile!
I am so pleased with this... the fabrics have really grown on me... loving the mix of greens, pinks, purples, yellows, oranges & yes even the blues...
Now I am really looking forward to the next stage of it, which will of course be to choose some backing & binding fabrics... also need to think about what sort of quilting I want... fun!
(by the way, my suggestion box is always open...)

My 'something new' is something I have wanted to make for a while now... Tis The Season, a wall quilt from The Birdhouse... before I started my blog, I loved to read the Quilt-Along blog, seeing all those gorgeous versions being created... so now it's time to make my own...
I spent time on a recent weekend tracing up all the stitcheries, I've chosen my thread colour, & my plan is to stitch a design or sometimes two each month... no hurry...
TTS is going to be my '1 Xmas Item A Month' project for this year... Narelle has given us the option of choosing one big project for the year & posting monthly progress on the blog, so I'm going for that, rather than making a number of smaller items throughout the year.
I'm really enjoying my sewing & stitching at the moment...
don't you just love that feeling?!
