Reveal Time... My Postage Stamp Quilt!

TA-DAH... I share with you, my Postage Stamp Quilt!
 I. TOTALLY. LOVE. IT!

If you have read my previous posts about this quilt, you will know that I didn't really love the fabrics, but thought I would just use them to try my hand at something different... it turns out that somewhere along the way I shocked myself  & quite fell in love with it! (Good thing I did, for all the sewing required!)
This is what I started with...

Being that quilt making is not really my thing, my lack of confidence & experience showed in my worrying about whether I would like what I asked the quilter to do... well I need not have worried!... I was reduced to tears of relief when she showed me...

Making this quilt has taught me so many things & reminded me that sometimes it really does pay to try something outside my comfort-zone...
Lots of binding required... good thing I don't mind that aspect of a project!
This is one of my favourite pics of my Postage Stamp Quilt
Here is a look at the quilting detail...
The tutorial I followed to make this Postage Stamp Quilt can be found HERE. (Just scroll down that page a little to find the lessons) The quilt measures 60 x 80 inches.

Perhaps I can now call myself a 'maker of simple quilts', do you think?!
