My FNSI was a lot of tracing, ending with a tiny bit of stitching...
Spent some time today tracing up four more stitcheries for my much-neglected Polka Dot Girls Quilt
The dots on the fabric are nowhere near as dominant when just looking at it, so it's not worth me trying to post the other pics, sorry...
I also traced up some Easter stitcheries, sweet designs that are done in ONE thread!
I bought myself the finest Pigma Pen I could find - a 005 - I'm amazed that the marking is showing up so dark in these pics, it's barely visible on the fabric...
(... ha, I am making excuses for my pics, perhaps it's just me that can't take good ones!!)
And another Willow Valley Store design, which will become a sweet little pincushion when the stitching is done.
Now for a confession - I could have got a LOT more done if I had not been distracted by having Lark Rise To Candleford playing on the tv while I did this tracing! I've watched it all, over & over, but still love it...

I'm really hoping to have some time over this weekend to catch up on the Blogs I love to read, I've really missed doing that, & I'm sure there's lots of great sewing 'n' stitching going on!!

Morning Anthea, my night owl friend..
Yes it is very time consuming to do the tracing for our stitchery blocks.. Well done..
have fun stitching them.
Great prep work!!!
I didn't join in this time I was traveling
Can't wait to see it all stitched. :) Hugs,xx
Well tracing is all part of the deal isn't it - just not so much fun - but you will be well prepared for the next FNSI.. The Easer stitchery looks lovely.
Excellent prep work on some very cute stitcheries. I love that series too.
Thats a lot of tracing done... (even though Larkrise disturbed you!!) the will be lovely stitched up...
Hugz
those traced stitcheries are going to keep you busy. I use a fine pen to trace too and I use a light brown. I find it doesn't show up as much under the lighter threads.
happy stitching
I think you have done well to do all that tracing. Sometimes the prep work takes the longest. Well done on your FNSI. hugs
yes i agree with Sharon its always good to get this out of the way, well done my friend.xx
Tracing is always so time consuming but well worth the effort. Great work :-)))
Your Easter stitcheries are beautiful, wish I had them. I to am about to start with the Polka Dot Girls, but I am not brave enough for permenant marking just yet. Well done, the prep work can take so long when all you want to do is start.
That's a nice selection ready for your needle and thread.
Enjoy stitching them up.
You got some great prep work done, all the stitcheries look lovely.
All the parts of the job has to be done its like sorting threads from a kit.
Prep counts! Without prep we can't stitch after all...so well done...
