Friday Night Sew-In for March...

My FNSI was a lot of tracing, ending with a tiny bit of stitching...
Spent some time today tracing up four more stitcheries for my much-neglected Polka Dot Girls Quilt
The dots on the fabric are nowhere near as dominant when just looking at it, so it's not worth me trying to post the other pics, sorry...
I also traced up some Easter stitcheries, sweet designs that are done in ONE thread!
I bought myself the finest Pigma Pen I could find - a 005 - I'm amazed that the marking is showing up so dark in these pics, it's barely visible on the fabric...
(... ha, I am making excuses for my pics, perhaps it's just me that can't take good ones!!)

And another Willow Valley Store design, which will become a sweet little pincushion when the stitching is done.
Now for a confession - I could have got a LOT more done if I had not been distracted by having Lark Rise To Candleford playing on the tv while I did this tracing! I've watched it all, over & over, but still love it...

To see the likely-more-productive Friday Night Sew-In efforts of other participants, just pop over HERE for the list of names.

I'm really hoping to have some time over this weekend to catch up on the Blogs I love to read, I've really missed doing that, & I'm sure there's lots of great sewing 'n' stitching going on!!

Well tracing is all part of the deal isn't it - just not so much fun - but you will be well prepared for the next FNSI.. The Easer stitchery looks lovely.

those traced stitcheries are going to keep you busy. I use a fine pen to trace too and I use a light brown. I find it doesn't show up as much under the lighter threads.
happy stitching

Your Easter stitcheries are beautiful, wish I had them. I to am about to start with the Polka Dot Girls, but I am not brave enough for permenant marking just yet. Well done, the prep work can take so long when all you want to do is start.
